What is Reiki?
Reiki is a form of healing and spiritual work. It is a spiritually guided hands on healing technique.
These hands on healing methods have been used for decades and practised in some form in all cultures.
Reiki is a Japanese word. ‘Rei’ meaning spiritual consciousness and ‘Ki’ meaning life force energy.
Life force energy flows naturally through all living things. So Reiki is the channelling of life force energy to create healing within.
Reiki is a journey within, to connect you with your inner essence, creating balance and wholeness in your life.
How does it work?
We have 8 bodies, our physical body is only one of these. The other 7 surround it are non-visible auric bodies made up of energy.
All conditions, be it physical or emotional start in these 7 energy bodies. Illness happens when our mind, body and spirit become unbalanced.
This happens more and more within our society today, where stressful lives are seen as normal, and rest, relaxation and replenishment of our inner essence is way down our list of priorities.
Modern medicine only treats the physical body, whereas Reiki treats all 8. It is not a replacement for modern medicine but is complementary to it.
What are the benefits?
Reiki can help alleviate physical, emotional and spiritual suffering, it is a process to returning to yourself, and creating inner balance.
The main benefit of a Reiki treatment is that is ignites and enhances the body’s natural ability to heal itself.
We all have the ability to do this, however we have lost this knowledge over time, and rely on external influences to do this. Reiki helps release blocked energy and cleanse physical and emotional toxins.
Reiki is its own unique intelligence. The practitioner is not healing you with their own energy, they are instead a channel for the life force energy to flow through as they have been trained to do this.
The energy flows wherever it is needed in a person.
The effects are different for each person depending on what is needed.
